Spend a day at Absolute Human Performance learning how pitchers are developed at the highest levels. Topics run from MLB pitching-staff management and biomechanics to strength and movement work, long-term development planning, and a current big-league pitcher's game-day routine.

Robin Lund

Detroit Tigers Assistant Pitching Coach

Robin just finished his fourth year as Assistant Pitching Coach for the Detroit Tigers. His main role is interpreting Hawkeye biomechanical and ball-flight data, then building player plans that improve performance or maintain it across the major-league pitching staff.

Before joining the Tigers, Robin was pitching coach at the University of Iowa, where his staffs were consistently ranked among the best in the country. He holds a doctorate in exercise science and was an associate professor of kinesiology at UNI from 2002 to 2018.

Greg Robins

Greg Robins

High Performance Coach

Greg is a high-performance coach and consultant with nearly 20 years of experience working with athletes and coaches. His work with professional players, including major-league pitchers, focuses on connecting physical preparation, movement, pitching mechanics and player development.

He started his career at Cressey Sports Performance, then founded and ran The Strength House, and he has spent more than a decade coaching athletes and developing coaches. He co-authored a book with Eric Cressey and has written for Men's Health, Men's Fitness and other national publications. Greg has worked with players at every level from youth to the major leagues, and he has mentored more than 100 coaches, many of whom now work in pro and college baseball.

Taylor Burns

Taylor Burns

Strength & Conditioning Specialist · Founder of AHP

Taylor is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and the owner and founder of AHP. He has helped dozens of Canadian pitchers reach college baseball in the USA, including 13 at NCAA Division 1. Three of his pitchers have gone on to pitch for Canada's Junior National Team, three have been MLB draft picks, and one is currently in the major leagues.

His specialty is building individual player development plans that improve long-term performance. He also focuses on post-rehab work and has guided many injured athletes back to the mound at a higher level than before, both with and without surgery.

Erik Sabrowski

MLB Pitcher · Cleveland Guardians

Erik is in his third season with the Cleveland Guardians. His career has been outstanding so far: 131 strikeouts in 87 innings with a 2.06 ERA.

He'll give a short presentation on game-day preparation and his bullpen warm-up routine.
